Self Advocates

Self-Advocates of Tomorrow/ The Aktion Club of Columbus (SAT) is a club for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who want to make a difference in their community. The club is for Bartholomew County citizens who speak out, advocate, and educate for equal rights, respect, and inclusion for all in the community.

Self-Advocacy involves people with disabilities taking charge of their lives and speaking on issues that matter. Self-advocates not only speak up for themselves, but others as well.

The SAT group conducts projects that encourage members to learn how to work together and lead as they serve others, as we believe that helping others ends up helping us as well. Best of all, we make friends who care as much as we do about creating a better community.
